Frozen Cocktails

Warm winter spices like cardamom and cinnamon meet dark rum and chilled red wine in a thick, ruby-red freeze. Scandinavian winter markets usually serve gløgg steaming hot, but spinning it through a slush machine turns the holiday classic into a festive party drink. Spoon raisins and slivered almonds straight over the top.
To make Gløgg Slush in a slush machine, blend red wine, dark rum, orange juice, pour the mix into the machine and run the Frozen Cocktail program for about 20–25 minutes. This Frozen Cocktails recipe makes a full 2.4-litre batch — about 8–10 glasses — ready to serve straight from the tap.

Around 5.4% alcohol in the finished batch — similar to a regular cocktail. That's deliberately below the ~10% limit where a slush machine stops freezing.
Yes. Mix the same ingredients, add about 1 kg of ice and blend in batches until smooth. The texture is a little icier than from a machine, so serve it straight away.
Almost always too much sugar or alcohol — or warm ingredients. A slush sets at roughly 120–160 g sugar per litre and under ~10% alcohol. Stick to the amounts above, chill everything first, and check your own tweaks in the will-it-freeze calculator.
