Frozen Smoothies

Tart frozen raspberries soften against pure coconut water and gentle apple juice for a crisp, tropical cooler. It makes an easy choice for sunny patio brunches where you want a drink that feels bright rather than heavy. Toasted coconut flakes on top add a fragrant, crunchy contrast to the cold slush.
To make Raspberry Coconut Smoothie in a slush machine, blend frozen raspberries, coconut water, apple juice, pour the mix into the machine and run the Slush / Frozen Drink program for about 20–25 minutes. This Frozen Smoothies recipe makes a full 2.4-litre batch — about 8–10 glasses — ready to serve straight from the tap.

Blend the fruit and any fresh herbs with the liquid ingredients until completely smooth, then strain through a fine sieve to remove seeds, skins and fibres — solids will clog a slush machine.
Step 2
Pour the strained mixture into the machine's container — do not add ice cubes, the machine freezes the liquid itself.
Step 3
Select the Slush / Frozen Drink program and let it run until it reaches a smooth, scoopable slush consistency.
Step 4
Serve straight away for the best texture.
Freeze times vary with starting temperature — check at the first beep and give it 5 more minutes if it's still loose.

Yes. Mix the same ingredients, add about 1 kg of ice and blend in batches until smooth. The texture is a little icier than from a machine, so serve it straight away.
Almost always too much sugar or alcohol — or warm ingredients. A slush sets at roughly 120–160 g sugar per litre and under ~10% alcohol. Stick to the amounts above, chill everything first, and check your own tweaks in the will-it-freeze calculator.
