After every batch
Empty the vessel, fill it with warm water and a drop of washing-up liquid, and run a short program. Drain, rinse with clean water and leave the parts to air-dry.
After dairy
Milkshakes and frappés should be cleaned straight away. Milk residue sours fast and can taint the next batch. Take the tap and seals apart and wash them by hand.
Deep clean every few weeks
Disassemble everything that comes apart, soak the parts in warm soapy water and clean the tap channel with a small brush. Check the seals for cracks and replace them when they wear.
What to avoid
No abrasive sponges, no bleach and no dishwasher unless the manual says a part is dishwasher-safe. Never immerse the motor base in water.
Quick answers
- Can I leave slush in the machine overnight?
- It's better not to. Pour leftovers into a freezer container and clean the machine. Re-blend or re-run it later.
