Slush

The default for alcohol-free mixes with normal sugar, such as soda, sweetened juice and syrups. It aims for a soft, spoonable texture and is the right choice for most kids' slushes.

Spiked Slush

For cocktails. It runs colder and longer to cope with alcohol, which lowers the freezing point. Use it for margaritas, daiquiris, frosé and anything with spirits or wine.

Frappé

Made for coffee drinks with milk. It keeps the mix creamy instead of icy, so cold coffee, milk and syrup turn into a smooth café-style frappé.

Milkshake

For milk and ice cream based shakes. It chills and churns without turning the shake into ice, giving a thick drink you can still pull through a straw.

Frozen Juice and Frozen Lemonade

For juices and lemonades with natural or lower sugar. These programs are tuned so fruit-based mixes freeze evenly without turning hard.

Quick answers

What if my recipe is between two programs?
Choose by the ingredient that's hardest to freeze. Any alcohol means Spiked Slush, and any dairy means Milkshake or Frappé.
Do the recipes work in other machines?
Yes. Every recipe on Slush Bible lists amounts and freeze time, so you can use them in any home slush machine. Pick the closest matching setting.
